Qualifications

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• BLS Provider credentialed from the AHA before hire or equivalent ARC accepted; renewal must be BLS from AHA.
• ARRT Mammography or ARDMS credentialing to be obtained within 12 months of hire/date of transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provides mammography imaging services.
• Operates equipment and performs mammography procedures.
• Prepares and positions patients and selects parameters accurately.
• Explains procedures and educates patients on preventive breast health.
• Develops and evaluates film quality (density, contrast, definition).
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures high-quality images are submitted to PACS with correct markers and patient data.
• Ensures equipment is functioning properly and reports issues.
• Maintains cleanliness and order in the department.
