Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform high-quality mammographic imaging, position patients with care, and participate in QC and safety protocols. You will collaborate with radiologists and maintain accurate records while ensuring patient comfort throughout the exam.

Required are ARRT certification in mammography, WA licensure as Radiology Technologist, current BLS, and graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Maintain current mammography certification and state licensure.
• ARTR (M) certification required; BLS is preferred.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and patient-focused care.
• Ability to assist with stereotactic breast biopsy when needed.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify imaging equipment; perform QA checks.
• Position patients for optimal mammographic views and comfort.
• Operate mammography equipment and adjust exposure factors.
• Ensure patient safety and radiation protection practices.
• Document exams and archive images per policy.
• Assist physicians with stereotactic procedures as needed.
