Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Mammography technologist in Norfolk, VA. The incumbent will conduct general screening and diagnostic imaging, including positioning for accurate anatomy and pathology demonstration, operating radiology equipment, and preparing patient rooms and supplies.

Must be ARRT(M) certified within 1 year of hire; registry-eligible graduates considered if registered within 180 days. Competitive compensation with benefits and opportunities for incentives are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in general screening and diagnostic Mammography and/or Bone Densitometry within scope of competency.
• Must be ARRT (M) certification; registry eligible graduates considered if registered within 180 days of hire.
• ARRT (M) must be obtained within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography and/or bone densitometry imaging examinations.
• Position patients correctly to demonstrate anatomy or pathology.
• Explain procedures to patients and ensure proper documentation in the department.
