Job summary

Sentara Health in Norfolk, VA seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Mammography/Bone Densitometry to work under physician direction. You will position patients, operate radiology equipment, and ensure accurate documentation and patient care.

Requirements include ALD Radiologic Science and ARRT, with ARRT(M) within 12 months of hire; registry-eligible graduates are considered.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required; ARRT(M) within 1 year of hire.
• Registry eligible graduate considered; must register within 180 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conducts general screening and diagnostic Mammography and/or Bone Densitometry imaging under physician supervision.
• Positioning of patient for demonstration of correct anatomy/pathology.
• Operate radiation producing equipment and electronic radiology systems.
• Prepare patient room/equipment/medications and maintain supply inventory.
• Explain examination to patient and complete departmental documentation.
