Job summary

Job description

Role Overview

Provide high-quality mammography services in accordance with physician orders, ensuring patient safety and comfort. Responsibilities include preparing equipment, performing diagnostic imaging, developing films, and evaluating image quality. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with all mammography regulations (MQSA/ACR).

Key Duties

• Perform mammography imaging, position patients appropriately, and develop films using proper techniques.
• Assess image quality, verify patient identification, and document procedures accurately.
• Educate patients on procedures, address concerns, and promote a positive experience.
• Ensure radiation safety standards are maintained, perform equipment checks, and adhere to safety protocols.
• Handle contrast agents when necessary and respond rapidly to contrast reactions or emergencies.
• Accurately input patient data into computer systems, follow departmental workflows, and communicate effectively with team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized radiology room, participate in quality assurance activities, and rotate shifts as needed.

Qualifications & Skills

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Radiologic Technologist (Washington) and BLS certification required at hire.
