Job summary

Proforma Health Inc. in Washington state is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to provide high-quality screening and diagnostic mammography.

You will prepare equipment, position patients, and develop films following MQSA/ACR guidelines while ensuring patient comfort and safety. You will educate patients, verify orders, maintain accurate records in the department system, support safety checks, participate in QA activities, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to uphold regulatory

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Washington Certified Radiologic Technologist license and BLS certification.
• State Mammography Technologist certification preferred; AART-M registration; 1 year mammography experience is a plus.

Role Overview

The Mammography Technologist I provides high-quality mammography services, preparing equipment, performing diagnostic imaging, and developing films in accordance with safety standards and regulations (MQSA/ACR). They evaluate images for quality, educate patients, and ensure accurate patient identification and documentation within the computer system. They deliver exceptional customer service, addressing patient concerns and fostering a positive experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging and position patients to optimize results while respecting comfort.
• Develop films, evaluate image quality, and verify physician orders.
• Manage patient information accurately within departmental computer systems.
• Provide patient education, address anxieties, and explain procedures and results.
• Maintain radiation safety standards, conduct equipment checks, and perform quality assurance activities.
• Observe patient conditions, respond to adverse reactions, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Collaborate effectively as part of a team, participate in training and policy development, and adhere to safety and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills
