Job summary

Atlantic Imaging Services is seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist in New Jersey. The role requires performing mammographic, Dexa and planar X-ray procedures with high accuracy and adherence to MQSA guidelines.

Qualified candidates hold an Associate’s degree in radiologic technology, NJ RT license, ARRT Mammography Certification, and current BLS. At least two years of relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology or related field.
• NJ state RT license and ARRT Mammography certification.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical mammography experience.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammographic, Dexa and planar X-ray procedures per standards.
• Review requisitions and patient data before exams.
• Position patients with accuracy to obtain quality images.
• Verify orders and provide information for radiologist interpretation.
• Charge patients accurately and complete exam end procedures in PACS.
• Utilize PenRad and maintain MQSA compliance.
• Maintain licensure and CME requirements.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Atlantic Imaging Services is seeking a per diem Mammography Technologist.

Principal Accountabilities

• Performs mammographic, Dexa and planar Xray procedures on patients according to state, federal, professional and departmental standards and guidelines.
• Reviews each requisition/questionnaire and record prior to the exam to ensure all pertinent information is available.
• Performs examinations with a high standard of accuracy in positioning. Select appropriate technical factors to ensure quality images.
• Assembles and reviews patient data, history, proper two patient identifiers.
• Verifies physician orders and ensures information for radiologist’s interpretation is available (outside images, reports etc.).
• Perform all computer functions properly to ensure proper patient charging and image interpretation.
• Performs patient charging and completes exam end procedures in and EPIC/Centricity PACS.
• Proper utilization of the PenRad system.
• Accurately and effectively performs QA, maintain required annual licensure/CME and responsible to assist in all aspect of tracking as per MQSA guidelines.
• Able to access, interpret, communicate and deliver age-appropriate care.
• Maintains open communication with site leadership.
• Contributes to the team and works cooperatively with peers.
• Demonstrates ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• Seeks pro‑active solutions to address questions concerns.
• And any other task as appointed by management.

Required

1 Associate’s degree in an accredited RT Program or related field.

• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a staff technologist in Mammography or relevant area.
• NJ State RT license.
• ARRT Mammography Certification.
• Current BLS certification.

Preferred

• Minimum of 200 mammography exams performed within past 24 months.
