Job summary

Mammography Educators, LLC is seeking a Mammography Technologist to coordinate, perform, and oversee clinical, technical, and regulatory aspects of our mobile mammography program. The role combines hands‑on imaging with program coordination to ensure high‑quality screening, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will serve as the technical SME for mobile operations, provide direct patient care, and support outreach to increase access for underserved communities.

Qualifications

• ARRT Mammography (M) certification required.
• Washington State Radiologic Technologist license required.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• 1–3 years of customer service experience preferred.

Job description

The Mammography Technologist is responsible for coordinating, performing, and overseeing all clinical, technical, and regulatory aspects of the PCHS Mobile Mammography Program. This role combines hands‑on mammography services with program coordination, ensuring high‑quality imaging, patient safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence. The serves as the technical subject‑matter expert for mobile mammography operations while also providing direct patient care. This position supports access to breast cancer screening for underserved community members through mobile outreach.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform high‑quality screening mammograms in accordance with protocols and federal/state regulations.
• Ensure proper patient positioning, imaging technique, compression, and radiation safety to achieve optimal diagnostic quality.
• Coordinate mobile mammography operations, including scheduling, logistics, daily workflow, and site setup/breakdown.
• Support community outreach efforts to promote utilization of mobile mammography services.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor on equipment specifications, workflow design, and operational readiness of the mobile unit.
• Lead and manage all technical and regulatory requirements related to mammography, including MQSA compliance.
• Coordinate with physicists, radiologists, inspectors, and regulatory agencies to ensure licensure and ongoing compliance.
• Maintain comprehensive Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs for equipment and imaging processes.
• Prepare for and support inspections, audits, and corrective action processes.
• Ensure mammography equipment is clean, calibrated, functional, and meets all state, federal, and manufacturer quality standards.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, service coordination, and equipment documentation.
• Manage technical policies, procedures, and workflows for the mobile mammography unit.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Valid Washington State Radiologic Technologist license (required)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification (required)
• One to Three years of customer service experience (preferred)
