Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team in Idaho is seeking a part-time Mammographer to perform screening and diagnostic mammography and breast exams, and to document procedures accurately. The role supports patient communication and high-quality imaging in the Medical Imaging department across Idaho and Oregon.

The ideal candidate is ARRT-registered, will obtain the mammography registry within 1 year, holds an OBMI license, BLS certification, and has driving privileges.

Qualifications

• ARRT-registered radiologic technologist.
• Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
• Active Medical Imaging License (OBMI) in Oregon.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Active driving privileges.

• Respond to equipment failures per department policies.

Be part of our Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team

Our Mammographers have skills and knowledge to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in both Idaho and Oregon.

Our Mammographers also maintain patient and procedure documentation, equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams and provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
3. Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
4. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
5. Must have active driving privileges.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

3. Performs ordered procedures according to subspecialty protocols and procedures, ensuring that optimum exams are acquired in an efficient and timely manner.
4. Responds to equipment failures, documenting in accordance with Department Policies and procedures.
5. Keeps accurate and updated documentation of medications on inventory.
