Job summary

Saint Alphonsus Health System is seeking a part-time Mammographer to join the Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team in the Idaho/Oregon diagnostic and screening mammography area. The role includes performing mammography procedures, maintaining equipment and patient communication, and documenting care in alignment with department policies.

The candidate must be ARRT registered or obtain the ARRT Mammography registry within one year, hold OBMI licensure, possess BLS certification, and have active driving

Qualifications

• ARRT registration is required.
• Mammography registry through ARRT must be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI) is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross is required.
• Must have and maintain active driving privileges.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations per subspecialty protocols.
• Care for all assigned age groups with appropriate communication.
• Accurately document procedures and maintain equipment/instrument knowledge for high-quality exams.
• Responds to equipment failures and documents issues per department policies.
• Maintain accurate documentation of medications on inventory (where applicable).

Be part of our Saint Alphonsus Mammo Team

Our Mammographers have skills and knowledge to perform mammography procedures and clinical breast examinations in the diagnostic and/or screening mammography areas of Medical Imaging in both Idaho and Oregon.

Our Mammographers also maintain patient and procedure documentation, equipment and instrument knowledge pertinent to high quality exams and provides effective internal and external patient communication consistent with age and mental capacity.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
2. Must obtain Mammography registry through ARRT within 1 year of hire.
3. Colleague must have and maintain an active Medical Imaging License issued by the Oregon Board of Medical Imaging (OBMI).
4. Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
5. Must have active driving privileges.
