InterMed is hiring a Mammography Technologist for our new Scarborough Downs location in Scarborough, ME. Start date anticipated January 2027 or earlier, with a sign-on bonus for eligible new hires.

Full-time and part-time openings are available in a brand-new building. The role involves performing high-quality mammography studies following ACR guidelines, communicating with patients to reduce anxiety, and collaborating with radiologists and healthcare teams to ensure accurate results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous radiology experience preferred; mammography experience strongly preferred.
• Successful completion of AMA accredited radiology program.
• ARRT certified in mammography, digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis.

Responsabilités

• Operate mammography equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure proper patient positioning and identification.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms according to physician orders and radiology protocols.
• Explain procedures to patients and address concerns to reduce anxiety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
• Work with radiologists and other clinicians to ensure timely results.
• Perform quality control checks and routine maintenance on imaging equipment.
• Maintain MQSA EQUIP program criteria and stay updated on best practices.
