Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to prepare patients for mammography, perform screenings and diagnostic exams, and provide bone densitometry services under Radiologist supervision.

The role requires ARRT (R) registration, Virginia licensure, and BLS. Prior mammography experience and cross-training are preferred, with opportunities to participate in accreditation and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registered in Radiologic Technology; ARRT (M) preferred; registry required within one year if not currently registered.
• BLS certification required.
• Six months of relevant experience; three months in mammography preferred or documented completion of cross-training.
• Bone Densitometry and Stereotactic Breast Biopsy experience preferred.
• Experience with EMR, Radiology, and information systems preferred.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for mammography and verify orders, identities, and histories.
• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography and bone densitometry across patient groups.
• Maintain departmental policies and quality patient care; ensure safety and radiation protection.
• Operate QC tools and ensure image quality and proper digitization for radiologists.
• Support education and cross-training programs within the Mammography department.
