Job summary

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform specialized breast imaging and related duties in the radiology department. You will operate mammographic equipment, ensure image quality, and adhere to required protocols and safety standards.

The role requires ARRT credentials (R and M) on hire, BLS, and a AMA/JRCERT approved training background. No prior experience is required, though 1 year in Mammography is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.
• No experience required; 1 year experience as a Mammography Technologist preferred.
• ARRT Radiographer Registered Radiologic Technologist (R) on hire required.
• ARRT Mammography (M) on hire required.
• BLS certification on hire required.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews all exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes on additional relevant information.
• Positioning patient and equipment, selecting protocol and utilizing required equipment.
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and obtain additional images as needed.
• Ensure accuracy by following procedures and labeling images correctly.
• Provide customer service/support to patient population.
• Maintain records, reports, and files as required by Federal, State and other regulatory agencies.
• Position patients of all age groups for radiological exams as requested.
