Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform a range of breast imaging examinations and related duties. The role emphasizes accurate image capture, proper positioning, and adherence to protocols to aid in diagnosis and treatment.

The position requires ARRT credentials in Radiography and Mammography, BLS, and graduation from an AMA/JRCERT accredited program. No experience is required, with a preference for 1 year of Mammography experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology program or JRCERT accredited hospital-based training program.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality screening, diagnostic and other mammography procedures.
• Reviews exam requisitions for pertinent information and notes additional information.
• Positioning patients and equipment, selecting protocol and utilizing required equipment.
• Evaluates images for diagnostic quality and requests additional images as needed.
• Ensures accuracy of each exam and proper image labeling.
• Provides customer service/support to patients.
• Maintains records and files per Federal, State and regulatory agencies.
• Positions and schedules exams for patients of all ages as required.
