CARTI is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform mammographic imaging and prepare studies for diagnostic interpretation. The role requires ARRT certification, an Arkansas RTL license, and BLS certification.

You will position patients, minimize radiation exposure, and collaborate with radiologists while maintaining equipment and documentation. The position involves travel to cover census needs at CARTI locations, ongoing quality control, and active participation in CARTI research projects.

Formación

• Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution or completion of an ARRT-aligned radiologic technology program.
• Current ARRT certification and registration in Radiography (R).
• Valid Radiologic Technologist License (RTL) issued by the Arkansas Department of Health.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Greets patients by confirming identification and imaging requests; reviews instructions and confirms service.
• Gains patient cooperation by explaining procedures, equipment, and answering questions.
• Positions breasts and operates mammography equipment; instructs patient on breathing; ensures correct exposure and views.
• Minimizes radiation exposure by following safety and protection protocols; forwards completed studies for radiologist interpretation.
• Maintains equipment operability through preventive maintenance and troubleshooting; ensures cleanliness and supply readiness.
• Documents services with accurate charting and image tracking; participates in continuing education and CARTI research projects.
