Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Federal Way, WA seeks a Mammography Technologist I to provide high-quality mammography services under physician orders. Responsibilities include patient prep, image acquisition, film development, and strict adherence to MQSA/ACR safety standards while maintaining patient confidentiality.

Qualifications include WA certification as a Radiologic Technologist and BLS; preferred candidates have 1 year of mammography experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Washington State Certified Radiologic Technologist required at hire.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.
• State Mammography Technologist certification (Mammography) and ARRT-M by hire or willing to train with two years radiology experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography images per clinical protocols and position patients to best demonstrate the area of interest.
• Operate imaging equipment and develop films following safety guidelines.
• Input patient data accurately into IDX-Rad/IDX-Mam systems.
• Provide patient education and address anxiety; maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to MQSA/ACR, radiation safety rules, and QA/QC activities.
