Join an energetic, patient-focused team! Jefferson Outpatient Imaging is currently seeking an experienced Mammographer for a PRN position at our outpatient imaging center located in Northeast Philadelphia.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiology Medical Director, the Mammography technologist:

1. Performs breast imaging procedures and related techniques, producing data at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed independent practitioner.
2. Ensures services are performed in a safe environment in accordance with established guidelines and regulatory requirements.
3. Serves as part of the imaging center team, seeking and providing feedback for improved clinical practice.

Requirements:

Experience:

• Up to 5 years' experience as a Mammography Technologist.

Education:

• Minimum Associates Degree in Radiology or graduation from an accredited two-year radiology program.

License/Certification:

• Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiography and maintain current registration.
• Must hold or obtain within 12 months a Mammography advanced registration through ARRT.
• Meet state licensure requirements for practicing location.
• BLS certification required within 60 days of hire.

Skills and Abilities:

• Proficient in operation of Mammography and ancillary equipment.
• Ability to work independently and multitask effectively.
• Accurate and concise documentation skills.
• Understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, radiopharmacology, and medical terminology.
• Knowledge of computer applications, including billing systems, digital archiving, and data retrieval.
