Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in radiologic imaging.
• 2-4 years experience as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs mammography imaging with proper positioning and compression.
• Adheres to safety and radiation protection standards.
• Ensures equipment functionality and quality control per ACR and FDA/MQSA.
• Reviews physician orders and patient history to verify procedures.
• Educates patients on breast health and procedure expectations.
• Assists radiologists with FNA, needle localizations, and biopsies.
• Prepares patients for invasive mammography-guided procedures.
• Maintains documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manages mammography inventory and supplies.
• Maintains attendance and complies with policies.
