Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Mammography Technologist I to perform screening and diagnostic mammography with precise positioning and high-quality imaging. You will work closely with Radiologists to ensure accurate results while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of radiologic imaging experience required.
• 2-4 years as a mammographer in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography imaging with high-quality screening and diagnostic images.
• Adhere to safety protocols, radiation protection and infection control guidelines.
• Ensure equipment functionality and routine QC testing per ACR and FDA/MQSA requirements.
• Review physician orders and patient history to ensure proper imaging.
• Educate patients on breast health, exams, and procedure expectations.
• Assist radiologists with mammography-guided procedures (FNA, localizations, biopsies).
• Prepare patients for invasive procedures and post-care guidance.
• Maintain documentation and image storage per regulations.
• Manage mammography inventory and supplies.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain reliability.
