Arrowhead Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) is recruiting for a Mammography Technologist who prepares and performs mammographic specialized procedures for the diagnosis of breast conditions. Duties include explaining procedures to patients; preparing and positioning patients for exams; determining equipment requirements for the procedures and imaging or film necessary for physician's preliminary viewing; and assisting the physicians or nurses during procedures.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Shift Availability: ARMC is a twenty-four hour facility; applicants must indicate their shift availability in the Supplemental Questionnaire of the application. Shift differentials are provided.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, physical and verification of employment history and education.
Promotion: Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist I are eligible for promotion to Special Procedures Radiologic Technologist II upon meeting the minimum requirements for said higher level classification and receiving a satisfactory work progress report. Incumbents must promote within twenty-four (24) months or be terminated.
Certifications: Candidates must obtain certification in Fluoroscopy with the State of California, Department of Public Health within six (6) months of hire or be terminated. Must possess a Healthcare Provider level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
Candidates must possess each of the following:
- Must possess and maintain current certifications with the State of California, Department of Public Health as a Radiologic Technologist and Mammographic Radiologic Technologist.
- CRT/Fluoroscopy issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health (must obtain within the first six (6) months of hire or be terminated).
- Healthcare Provider Level Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Registration:
- Must possess and maintain registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and possess a California State Mammography certificate.
Experience:
- Special Procedures RT I: No experience Required (Trainee level)
- Special Procedures RT II: One (1) year of experience as a Radiologic Technologist -OR- six (6) months of supervised Mammography clinical experience.
