Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Summary/Objective

Functions as a delegated agent of the physician and practices under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Uses independent, professional, ethical judgment, and critical thinking to safely perform diagnostic medical procedures. Applies the ALARA principle to minimize radiation exposure, ensuring patient safety and comfort through proper positioning, tools, and techniques.

Essential Functions

• Maintains thorough knowledge of mammographic equipment and current developments per ACR guidelines.
• Performs mammography exams according to ACR policies and departmental protocols.
• Adheres to productivity standards.
• Maintains quality control of the mammography program per ACR guidelines.
• Serves as a resource to radiologists in mammography.

Note: Sign-on bonus paid after passing probation. A two-year commitment is required. This offer is for new employees only.

Requirements

Education and Experience: Completion of an ARRT-accredited radiology program, Florida State license, and ARRT mammography certification (digital/tomosynthesis experience preferred or to be completed within 3 months). Knowledge of mammography equipment, human anatomy, and patient positioning. CPR certification or certification within 3 months of employment.
