Detailed Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography exams using specialized imaging equipment.
  • Position patients accurately and ensure their comfort and safety during procedures.
  • Evaluate images for quality and accuracy, making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results.
  • Maintain and calibrate mammography equipment, reporting any malfunctions promptly.
  • Verify patient identification and medical history, ensuring accurate documentation in the RIS/PACS system.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare staff to support efficient workflow and quality imaging outcomes.
  • Adhere to all safety, radiation protection, and MQSA/ACR regulatory standards.
  • Maintain continuing education and experience requirements as outlined by MQSA.
  • Provide excellent service to all patients and organizational customers in a compassionate and professional manner.
Qualifications
  • Current Florida State License as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • ARRT (R) and (M) certifications required.
  • Must meet MQSA continuing education and experience requirements.
  • Must be able to pass ACR accreditation standards for Mammography.
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years of mammography experience preferred; outpatient experience a plus.
  • Strong analytic and technical skills to evaluate images and ensure diagnostic quality.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with patients, physicians, and staff.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
