MUSC Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist in Columbia, SC. The role involves performing all mammography procedures under the Radiologist and Radiology Director, with QA maintenance and regulatory compliance responsibilities.
Required are ARRT registration, mammography certification (ARRT-M), SCRQSA licensure, CPR certification, and 0–2 years independent mammography experience. Sign-on bonus of $20K is offered.
The Mammography Technologist, under the direction of the Radiologist and Radiology Director, performs all Mammography procedures in accordance with ACR, TDH, MQSA, state regulations, and departmental policies. Possesses highly technical skills to operate sophisticated equipment for the above-mentioned examinations. Responsible for QA maintenance, regulatory compliance, survey preparations, and competencies. The Technologist must exhibit expertise in patient care based on needs appropriate for all patient demographics. Other duties as deemed necessary.

Graduate of an approved, accredited A.R.R.T. program. Documented mammography training.
One year of diagnostic radiology experience is preferred, and at least one year mammography experience is required, proving initiative and sound judgment required for utilizing and maintaining established guidelines of care by the MQSA.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Work Experience: 0-2 years of independent mammography experience required. Registration/Certification: Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) and certified in mammography. Licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
