Job summary

Job description

Responsibilities

To perform high-quality mammography images and biopsy procedures by the American College of Radiology (ACR) standards, ultrasound images, and bone density scans for interpretation by a physician. Requires sound understanding of anatomical position, radiographic technique, the ability to act with initiative and ingenuity with minimal supervision, and a high level of customer service for a fast‑paced outpatient ambulatory setting. Provide support for other outreach sites as deemed necessary.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Work Experience: At least two years of independent mammography experience.
• Registration/Certification: Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and certified in mammography; licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS): Required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider.
• Skill Sets: Fully competent in advanced modality skill sets and flexible to rotate.
