Owensboro Health Regional Hospital is seeking a part-time Radiologic Technologist in Mammography/CT support. You will assist with positioning, exposure factors and CT procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety.

You will apply ALARA principles, prepare contrast media if needed, and support the physician across imaging procedures. Requires RT(R), RT(CT), ROC, BLS within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Associate's degree or higher in Science or related field required upon hire.
• Licensure/certification in Radiology required upon hire (RT(R)/RT(CT)).
• Basic Life Support required within 90 days.

Job Summary:

Provides imaging services to patients under the supervision of a registered Mammography Technologist.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists to position patients and selects exposure factors accurately.

• Utilizes radiation protection and safety standards. Applies As Low As Reasonable Achievable (ALARA) principle to minimize exposure to patient, self, and others.

• Prepares for and assists the physician in computed tomography procedures.

• Assists the physician in a variety of imaging procedures.

• May be required to prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.

• Responsible for setting up and providing equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.

• Diploma, Associate’s degree or higher in Science or related field required upon hire

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• RT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiology required upon hire AND

• RT(CT) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Computed Tomography required upon hire AND

• ROC - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire AND

• BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position AND

• RT(M) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Mammography required within 12 months of employment in this position
