Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, part of Duke Health, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures at the Duke Raleigh Campus in Raleigh, North Carolina. The role includes patient positioning, exposure factor calculation, quality control, radiograph evaluation, and patient education.

The candidate must have ARRT radiography certification, be MQSA compliant, and hold BLS certification.

Qualifications

Must have ARRT certification in radiography.
ARRT advanced certification in mammography.
MQSA CE requirements met (15 CEUs in 36 months with ≥6 CEUs per modality).
BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

Operate mammographic radiographic equipment and related devices as appropriate.
Position patients and determine exposure factors; assist physicians.
Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality; obtain additional images as needed.
Explain procedures to patients and prepare medical supplies using aseptic techniques.
Charge mammographic procedures and supplies in Maestro or EPIC.
Provide orientation to new Mammographers and education to student Mammographers.
Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
Demonstrate proficiency in all breast imaging procedures, including interventional.
Monitor procedures and supply charges for completeness and accuracy.
