Job summary

Duke Raleigh Hospital, a campus of Duke University Health System, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging, with patient positioning, exposure calculation, and quality control. The role includes teaching students and supporting imaging operations.

Requires ARRT radiography certification, mammography credentials, BLS, and MQSA CE compliance. The job is based in Raleigh, NC, with potential for growth within Duke Health's imaging services.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification in radiography and mammography are required.
• BLS certification required.
• MQSA CE requirements of 15 CEUs in 36 months must be met.
• Two years experience as Mammography technologist preferred for advancement.
• Graduate or completion of program meeting registry eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and position patients with immobilization as needed.
• Calculate exposure factors and assist physicians during procedures.
• Perform quality control and evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality.
• Prepare supplies using aseptic techniques and educate patients.
• Charge procedures in Maestro or EPIC and mentor students.
• Assist in maintenance of statistical data and breast imaging operations.
