Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist at Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC. The role involves operating mammographic equipment, selecting exposure factors, and ensuring diagnostic image quality as part of a dedicated imaging team.

Required ARRT radiography certification, MQSA CE compliance, and BLS. Candidates may be at Level I–III depending on experience; clinical ladder supports growth within Imaging services.

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• 40 hours of documented mammography training for Mammo-Specific requirements.
• ARRT certification in radiography at time of employment for Level I.
• Level II requires 2 years' Mammography experience and 200 exams in 24 months.
• Level III requires 4 years in the specialty modality and promotion criteria.
• ARRT advanced certification in mammography is preferred.
• BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic radiographic equipment and related devices.
• Position patients and calculate exposure factors; assist physicians.
• Perform quality control functions for mammography and evaluate radiographs.
• Prepare supplies aseptically and explain procedures to patients; charge procedures in Maestro/EPIC.
• Provide orientation and training to student Mammographers; assist in data collection.
