Job summary

Holy Name Medical Center is seeking a skilled radiography professional with mammography expertise to serve in a full- or part-time capacity. The role involves performing radiographic and mammography procedures, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnoses.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of Radiographic Technology Required.
• 1-3 years Minimum of one year of Radiography experience with one year minimum in mammography Required.
• Must have 15 CME specific to breast imaging for the last 36 months Required.
• Must have documentation for the performance of 200 mammograms in the past 24 months Required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares room, equipment, medicine and materials for patients.
• Cleans and disinfects x-ray room/equipment.
• Assists with preparations of chemical mixtures for mammography biopsies and exams.
• Assists radiologists in administration of intravenous and subcutaneous material.
• Prepares patient for exam, explains procedure, positions patient and assists patient at end of procedure.
• Follows prescribed techniques in administering X-rays and ensures image quality before transmitting to PACS.
• Maintains stock supplies and performs general office duties.
• Assists in training new staff members.
