Job summary

South Texas Radiology Imaging Centers (STRIC) in San Antonio, TX seeks a Mammography Technologist for a full-time position. You will perform mammography and related breast procedures in compliance with MQSA, Texas regulations, and ACR guidelines.

Responsibilities include high-quality imaging, room prep, QA procedures, and cross-training to support department staffing. STRIC emphasizes patient service and adherence to policies in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of radiology or 10+ years of experience in modality required.
• Certification as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
• Current CPR certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality mammograms with proper positioning and operation of digital mammography equipment; prepares the mammography room before and after procedures and documents patient history.
• Acquires and maintains computer skills for STRIC radiology information system and PACS (scheduling exams, patient tracking, film tracking, charges).
• Is willing to cross-train in other functions or positions and take on additional responsibilities to ensure smooth department operation.
• Supports STRIC mission/vision with excellent customer service and adheres to codes of conduct and ethical standards.
• Understands and enforces STRIC policies and procedures and relevant rules and regulations.
• Works in a fast-paced, customer service-oriented environment and meets deadlines.
