Job summary

Metro MRI Center in the Quad-City area seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform all mammographic procedures and uphold high patient-care standards.

You will apply radiation safety principles, ensure correct image orientation, and maintain QA records per ACR and state guidelines. Evening and weekend hours are available to support patient access and care.

Certification by ARRT and AMA Radiologic Technology program completion are required; Texas state certification is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Graduate of recognized AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology.
• Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.).
• State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.).

Responsibilities

• Performs all mammographic procedures as per the Department Procedure Manual.
• Maintains patient care and recognizes conditions essential for successful radiologic procedures.
• Maintains quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State and other credentialing bodies.
• Identifies proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper identification.
• Practices radiation safety by applying ALARA principles.
