Job summary

Qualifications

• Formal Radiologic Technology training from an ARRT/JCERT approved program.
• Current KMIRT license to practice in Kentucky.
• ARRT Registry in Radiography; ARRT(M) within 12 months of hire; BLS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Verifies patient information and order prior to procedure.
• Follows department protocol for all exams.
• Uses aseptic technique and radiation protection for patient and staff.
• Assists Radiologist with procedures and responds to requests promptly.
• Operates imaging equipment and PACS; maintains documentation in EMR/EHR.
• Annotates images according to policy and ACR guidelines.
• Maintains a clean, professional work area.
• Prints, tracks and distributes lay-person results letters.
• Provides patient education using teach-back methods.
