Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System in Olathe, KS seeks a Mammography Technologist (PRN) to perform screening and diagnostic breast imaging, stereotactic biopsies, and related procedures. Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program.
• 1+ year Mammography experience preferred.
• Licensed Radiologic Technologist in Kansas.
• ARRT Mammography certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• Knowledge of 3D Tomosynthesis and Stereotactic techniques.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and train new staff and students as needed.
• Assist with patient contact, follow-up, and data tracking for quality.
• Educate patients on breast center exams and procedures.
• Deliver safe, efficient direct patient care during breast imaging exams.
• Maintain compliance with MQSA, FDA, ACR, and Kansas licensure.
• Keep credentials current; complete mandatory educational assignments.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and proper sterile technique.
• Assist other medical staff with patient support as needed.
• Prepare reports and clinic materials; use breast imaging and hospital software.
• Operate imaging equipment per manufacturer guidelines.
