Job summary

UC Health is hiring a full‑time Mammography Technologist at West Chester Hospital in West Chester, OH. You will obtain high‑quality mammograms following ACR/FDA requirements and coordinate with radiologists.

Eligible candidates must complete a JRCERT‑approved program or AS in Radiology, be ARRT registered, and obtain advanced mammography certification within 12 months. A sign‑on bonus of up to $15,000 is offered to new hires.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a JRCERT‑approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must obtain advanced certification in mammography within 12 months of start date.
  • Current licensure by the State of Ohio.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mammography and DEXA procedures per established protocols.
  • Prepare patient histories and prior studies for radiologist interpretation.
  • Submit completed studies to radiologists and ensure timely follow‑up of abnormal results.
  • Maintain records and supplies and participate in quality assurance programs.
  • Engage in continuing education and maintain required licensure.

UC Health is hiring a full‑time Mammography Technologist for the radiology department at West Chester Hospital. We are offering up to a $15,000 sign‑on bonus! The Technologist will obtain the highest‑quality mammograms following the ACR/FDA requirements. Duties include obtaining patient history, locating prior examinations, and preparing paperwork for the radiologist’s interpretation.

Qualifications
  • Completion of a JRCERT‑approved program in Radiologic Technology or an Associate of Science Degree in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered as a Radiologic Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.
  • Must obtain advanced certification in mammography within 12 months of the start date.
  • Current licensure by the State of Ohio.
  • Minimum required: 0–1 year of experience (prefer experience in mammography but we will train).
  • Knowledge of quality control requirements of mammographic and x‑ray equipment and basic imaging procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including good communication, tact, critical thinking, and judgment.
  • Computer and technical skills; training in Epic and other systems as needed.
  • Ability to be flexible, organized, and function well in any situation.
  • Demonstrates ability to work well as a member of a team.
Responsibilities
  • Engage in population‑appropriate communication.
  • Have knowledge of growth and development milestones and tasks.
  • Give clear instructions to patients/family regarding treatment.
  • Involve family/guardian in the assessment, initial treatment and continuing care of the patient.
  • Identify any physical limitations of the patient and deploy intervention when necessary.
  • Recognize and respond appropriately to patients/families with behavioral health problems.
  • Interpret population‑related data and plan care appropriately.
  • Identify and respond appropriately to different needs resulting from unique psychological needs or those associated with religious/cultural norms.
  • Perform treatments, administer medication, or operate equipment safely.
  • Recognize and respond to signs/symptoms of abuse or neglect.
  • Perform mammographic and DEXA procedures in accordance with established protocols, reviewing appropriateness and completeness of patient histories and requested services. Explain procedures to patients.
  • Prepare images, prior studies and paperwork including patient history and location of previous films. Submit completed studies to the radiologists for interpretation. Fax release form to the appropriate facility for release of previous mammograms. Follow up films are received in a timely manner. Digitize images to ensure availability for radiologists in Dx Secure View.
  • Maintain appropriate records and supplies. Assist with meeting all requirements for the different accreditations.
  • Participate in continuing education activities related to the field of mammography. Obtain and maintain required licensure. Demonstrate and maintain skill in providing care for patients of specific age groups, such as adult and geriatric, through in‑service and continuing education.
  • Perform evaluative equipment tests and participate in the quality‑assurance program.
  • Qualify patients for funding programs. Maintain record of results. Track grant funds.
  • Track patient results and notify appropriate parties to ensure proper follow‑up is obtained. Do all follow‑up of abnormal mammograms, including calling patients to schedule return appointments.
