Job summary

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeks a Mammography Technologist to join the MSK Breast & Imaging Center in New York, NY. The role focuses on screening and diagnostic mammography, general radiography, and DEXA exams, with supervision and independent judgment to ensure high-quality imaging.

Qualified candidates will hold NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license with ARRT in Radiography and Mammography, 2–3 years of mammography experience, and prefer injection certification.

Qualifications

• Must hold NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license with injection certification preferred.
• Registered with ARRT in Radiography and Mammography.
• Minimum 2–3 years of Mammography experience; DEXA experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized imaging procedures of the breast with independence and minimal supervision.
• Conduct screening and diagnostic mammography, general radiography and DEXA exams.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of exams; submit images for physician review.
• Manage exam procedures to maximize efficiency while meeting patient needs.
• Assist physicians and may perform nursing duties as needed.
• Maintain records and enter data into the information system; supervise trainees as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and participate in quality control tests.

Exciting Opportunity at MSK:

We are seeking a Mammography Technologist to join our growing team at MSK Breast & Imaging Center!

Role Overview:

• The technologist will be expected to perform a variety of routine and more specialized imaging procedures of the breast that require independent judgment and initiative with minimal supervision. The qualified individual will also perform screening and diagnostic mammogram, General Radiography and Bone Densitometry (DEXA) exams.
• Perform all radiographic examinations accurately, completely and efficiently, checking technical quality, and submits completed exams for physician to review.
• Manage all aspects of the exam procedures to maximize exam efficiency while meeting patient needs.
• Assist physicians and performs nursing duties, as needed.
• Prepare accurate records and enters required data into information management system.
• Instruct trainees in specialty area and keeps licensing up to date.
• Maintain a neat, clean, safe environment, and performs quality control tests as assigned.
• Treat those individuals (e.g., patient/family, client, center employee) who depend on the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the work as unique individuals in a respectful, courteous manner, and focuses on understanding and meeting their needs.
• Work collaboratively with others to accomplish departmental and organizational goals.

Key Qualifications:

• NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist License (with injection certification preferred) and registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in both Radiography (R) and Mammography (M).
• Minimum of 2- 3 years Mammography.
• Experience in performing Bone Densitometry (DEXA) a plus.

$10,000 bonus available for new hires
