Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized AMA COE program in radiological technology.
• One year experience as Diagnostic Imaging Technologist.
• CPR Certification as a Healthcare Provider.
• ARRT Mammography certification within 6 months of hire.
• Current Montana license as a Radiology Technologist.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.

Responsibilities

• Supports and models the mission and philosophy of Billings Clinic.
• Maintains mammography equipment and assists in departmental supply acquisition.
• Performs quality mammography services at the request of physicians according to established guidelines.
• Prepares the mammography suite for the patient, positions them, explains the procedure, and alleviates apprehension.
• Informs management or Lead Mammography Technologist of any unusual concerns or conditions relative to staff, patients and physicians.
• Maintains adequate inventory of all required supplies by informing appropriate personnel for acquisition.
• Ensures the mammography program complies with regulating agencies by completing necessary clerical work.
• May assist with quality control tests for mammography equipment per guidelines.
• Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets mandatory requirements.
• Maintains safety standards and performs other duties as assigned or needed.
