Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate/complete program meeting registry requirements for mammography.
• MQSA requirements met by training and certification.
• ARRT mammography registry or certification is current.

Responsibilities

• Perform mammography procedures and operate mammography equipment.
• Position patients and immobilize as needed for images.
• Carry out mammography quality control functions.
• Evaluate radiographs for diagnostic quality; obtain extra images if needed.
• Prepare and set up medical supplies using aseptic technique.
• Explain procedures to patients and document charges in system.
• Provide orientation and training to student Mammographers.
• Assist in maintenance and compilation of statistical data.
• Demonstrate proficiency in breast imaging procedures, including interventional.
• Monitor section procedures and charges to ensure accuracy.
• Perform other related duties incidental to the work.
