Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Mammography Technologist for a 13-week assignment in New Jersey. The role conducts mammography exams per ACR; assists with breast ultrasound and stereotactic biopsy, ensuring high-quality imaging and patient care.

Requires ARRT Mammography, NJ State Diagnostic Radiology license, CPR/BLS, and at least 3 years of mammography experience; EPIC familiarity is a plus. Weekend shifts may be required with a 4x10 or 5x8 schedule totaling 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in Mammography.
ARRT Mammography Certification required.
New Jersey State license in Diagnostic Radiology required.
CPR and BLS certifications required.
Stereotactic breast biopsy experience preferred, bone density experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic and screening mammographic examinations on patients of all ages.
Assist in breast localization and stereotactic procedures including setup and cleanup.
Utilize proper technical factors for imaging while providing immobilization devices.
Perform quality control procedures and maintain documentation per regulatory standards.
Support patients with education and instructions before and after procedures.
Document relevant patient information in the Breast Center chart and manage follow-ups.
Adapt care to individual patient needs, considering age and cultural factors.
