Job summary

RadNet is hiring a Mammography Technologist to operate mammography equipment, ensure high quality images, and provide excellent patient care in a fast‑paced clinical setting.

The role requires ARRT(R)(M) certification, an active State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, and CPR/BLS certification, with at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • ARRT(R)(M) certification is required.
  • Current State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is required.
  • CPR/BLS certification is required or active.

Responsibilities

  • Operate mammographic equipment per policies and protocols.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images promptly with excellent patient care.
  • Adjust exposure factors and compression to obtain optimal images.
  • Monitor patient well‑being during exams and respond to needs.
  • Explain procedures and address patient questions and concerns.
  • Safeguard patient information and on‑site medications per policy.

You Will
  • Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
  • Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
  • Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
  • Monitor patients’ well‑being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
  • Guide patients through this sometimes‑difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
  • Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
  • Demonstrate competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on‑site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
  • Demonstrate respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Be responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Demonstrate respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Demonstrate ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have
  • ARRT(R)(M) certification.
  • State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology.

Pay Range: $40.00 – $60.00 per hour
