Job summary

Hmixray in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join a patient-focused imaging team. You will operate mammographic equipment, produce high-quality images, and ensure patient comfort throughout exams. The role emphasizes safety, HIPAA-compliant handling of patient information, and collaborative care.

Required ARRT(R)(M) certification and State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, plus BLS. At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices following policies and protocols
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images promptly while delivering excellent patient care
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or medical issues
• Guide patients through the exam process and answer questions
• Address physician questions related to patient exams
• Safeguard patient information and site medications in accordance with policies and legal requirements
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers and respect patient boundaries

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology

Pay Range: $40.00 - $60.00 / Hour
