Job summary

RadNet in Sugar Land, TX, is seeking a Mammography Technologist to provide high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced radiology setting.

You will operate mammography equipment, ensure image quality, and support patients through the exam, while maintaining safety and HIPAA guidelines. Requirements include ARRT certification, state licensure in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, BLS, and at least one year of imaging experience; we offer comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification is required.
• State licensure in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• At least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammography equipment and related devices per policy.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner.
• Apply compression, KvP, MAS, and other settings to optimize images.
• Monitor patients and respond to discomfort or issues during exams.
• Guide patients through the procedure and address questions.
• Respond to physician questions and coordinate care.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy.
• Respect company property and patient privacy during interactions.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

When you join us as a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21 st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients’ well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have

• ARRT(R)(M) certification
• State License in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
• Must have BLS certification

Pay Range: $33.00 - $46.00 per hour
