Job summary

Hmixray in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Mammography Technologist to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging and compassionate patient care in a fast-paced clinical setting.

The role requires ARRT certification, CA state license, and BLS, with at least one year of diagnostic imaging experience preferred; you will operate mammography equipment, ensure patient comfort, and uphold HIPAA standards while collaborating with physicians and staff.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R)(M) certification required.
• State license in diagnostic radiologic technology required.

Responsibilities

• Operate mammographic equipment and related devices per policy.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images in a timely manner with excellent patient care.
• Adjust compression, KvP, Mas, and other settings to optimize image quality.
• Monitor patient well-being during exams and respond to discomfort or issues.
• Explain exam steps to patients and address questions and concerns.
• Respond to physician questions regarding patients and exams.
• Safeguard patient information and on-site medications per policy and law.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.

When you join us as a Mammography Technologist, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

You Will:

• Perform a variety of tasks involving the operation of mammographic equipment and other equipment/devices with adherence to established company policies and protocols.
• Produce high quality diagnostic images in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care.
• Understand and use compression, exposure modes, filter, KvP, Mas, grid selection, focal spot size, AEC selection, photo cell selection and other adjustments and factors on the equipment in order to produce high quality images.
• Monitor patients' well- being during exams; recognize patient discomfort or medical problems and take appropriate action.
• Guide patients through this sometimes-difficult process by kindly talking them through the steps and answering their questions and concerns regarding exam procedures and process.
• Respond to physician questions and needs regarding patients.
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

Pay Range: $40.00 - $60.00 / Hour
