Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Mammography Technologist to join the Hilton Head Medical Center imaging team. The part-time position supports high-quality screening and diagnostic care in a patient-centered environment.

Responsibilities include performing diagnostic and screening mammography, educating patients, and ensuring comfort and privacy during exams. ARRT radiography and mammography certification, state licensure, and relevant experience are required or preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience: One year of experience in mammography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M), required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred. Applicable state license, required.
• Additional skills: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.

Work Schedule: M-F 7:00a-3:30p, and/or 8:00a-5:00pm
