Job summary

Novant Health's Matthews Medical Center is seeking a PRN Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic mammography and support physician care. This role sits in a REMARKABLE acute care team with advanced imaging technology and a focus on patient safety and comfort.

The position offers collaboration with physicians and opportunities for professional growth in a flexible PRN schedule within our imaging services.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required; 2 Year/Associate Degree preferred; ARRT Radiography Program graduate required.
• Experience: One year experience in Mammography preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: ARRT Radiography and Mammography RT(R)(M) required; state license required; Bone Densitometry RT(R)(M)(BD) preferred.

The Mammo Tech will perform Diagnostic Mammography at Matthews Medical Center.

• Maintain patient safety and comfort with professionalism and empathy

What We're Looking For

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required. 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
• Experience:One year experience in Mammography, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography – RT(R)(M), required.
  • Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry – RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred.
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills Required:Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
