Job summary

Providence Swedish in Redmond, WA seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in mammography for outpatient imaging. You will perform high-quality breast radiographs and interact with patients with empathy and care, ensuring comfort and safety throughout the procedure.

You will join a team governed by MQSA and FDA requirements, with ongoing quality control duties and potential general radiography duties depending on location. A strong focus on patient-centered care is essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program meeting ARRT registry requirements.
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist license.
• Upon hire: BLS for Healthcare Providers (American Heart Association).
• Upon hire: ARRT Radiography certification.
• Within 1 year: ARRT Mammography certification.
• Location-dependent may require prior general radiography experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform breast radiography in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Maintain MQSA/FDA quality control responsibilities as required.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during imaging procedures.

Job description

This position is required to perform a variety of radiological technical procedures specific to the diagnosis and treatment of breast disease in a high-volume outpatient setting. Responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images while interacting with all patients in a caring and comforting manner. Jointly responsible for performing required quality control activities as mandated by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and the FDA. Dependant on location, may be required to utilize general radiography skills to perform diagnostic radiology exams.

Required Qualifications:

• Successful completion of a formal radiologic technology training program, which meets the requirements for registry by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Upon hire: Washington Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Mammography
• Dependant on location, prior general radiography experience may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 yearsfull-time mammography experience
