Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, operates x-ray equipment to perform mammograms; develops film and completes paperwork.

Responsibilities:

1. Assists in breast biopsy procedures, including needle localizations, stereotactic biopsies, and ductograms.
2. Instructs and positions patients to obtain acceptable radiographs of diagnostic quality.
3. Ensures work area meets safety, equipment supply, and cleanliness standards.
4. Manually enters data for proper preparation for dictation and billing.
5. Possesses ARRT, RT(M), or equivalent formal training as accepted under the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA).
