Job description

A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a new Mammography Technologist to join one of their growing outpatient facilities in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Schedule: Monday to Friday (at least 1 Saturday per month)
• Hours: 8:30am to 4:30pm
• Department: Radiology Diagnostic
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities:

• Provide X-Ray and mammography services to patients
• Review medical information and interpret requisitions accurately
• Report all examination discrepancies to Radiologist, department head, and/or providers as needed
• Keep records/logs of all examinations performed
• Document all examinations in the Radiology system in an accurate and timely fashion
• Document all relevant patient medical information to aid the interpreting Radiologist in diagnosis
• Correct any errors with archival of examinations in a timely fashion
• Monitor the functionality of diagnostic equipment
• Observe and report any malfunctioning of equipment
• Ensure mammograms and X-Rays are of optimal quality and that all patient information is accurate
• Ensure examination rooms are stocked and clean
• Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications:

• A valid license as a Radiologic Technologist issued by the NYSDOH
• Post-primary certification in Mammography issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)

Desired Skills:

• BLS certification
• Ability to do both X-Ray and Mammography
