Job summary

New York Imaging (NYI) in Brooklyn seeks a Mammography Technologist to perform routine and diagnostic mammography, and assist with stereotactic biopsies. You will position patients, adjust imaging factors, and ensure high-quality results while maintaining radiation safety standards.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of mammography experience, ARRT licensure, strong communication and organizational skills, and proficiency with clinical computer applications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of continuous experience in Mammography.
• Licensed by the ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
• Excellent assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Availability to work daytime weekday hours.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and diagnostic mammography procedures.
• Assist with stereotactic biopsies.
• Track inventory and manage supply orders.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
• Prepare and position patients for imaging and adjust exposure factors.
• Process and review images for proper identification and quality control.
• Follow radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure.
