Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking an Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures according to radiology standards to aid in diagnosis and treatment. The role includes developing procedure plans and ensuring documentation aligns with hospital policies.

The position requires ARRT(R) registration, M flag preferred, and BLS certification within 30 days of hire; ARRT(M) certification should be obtained within 12 months of hire date.

Qualifications

• Registered by ARRT(R); Mammography ARRT(M) preferred.
• Must complete ARRT(M) certification within 12 months of hire.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough understanding of radiologic principles and applies appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures.
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plan.
• Completes documentation per hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe condition for patients and staff.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure care meets standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principles/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Education

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT(R), with Registry in Mammography ARRT(M) preferred. Must complete certification for ARRT(M) within 12 months of hire date. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.

Special Skills

• Basic computer literacy skills.
