Mammography Technologist at RAYUS Radiology summary:

As a Mammography Technologist at RAYUS Radiology, you will perform mammography exams for diagnosing and treating patients of all ages. Your role involves ensuring high-quality imaging, maintaining radiologic equipment, and supporting department functions while fostering positive relationships with patients and medical staff. This PRN position requires expertise in diagnostic radiology and excellent patient care skills.

RAYUS Radiology is looking for a PRN Mammography Technologist to help at our Avon and Indianapolis Northwest locations. This is a PRN role with various day shifts Monday-Friday at our Avon or NW facility.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

55%) Patient Care & Imaging

1. Produces diagnostic images in assigned area and performs quality control tasks as assigned.
2. Screens patients before exam for any precautions or contradictions pertaining to the examination.
3. Performs mammography examinations according to a high quality standard in order to service the patient and referring physician.
4. Promotes and motivates good customer relations with patients, physicians, visitors, and other company personnel.
5. Maintains and adjusts equipment.

40%) Department Support

1. Participates in staff meetings with employee involvement.
2. Maintains positive work relationships with radiologists and other physicians referring to the company.
3. Assists in maintaining an updated radiographic protocol manual.
4. Accurately maintains patient records within Radiology Information Software.
5. Maintains an orderly and clean work area to promote good safety habits for patients and co-workers.
6. Assists with training of new associates, providing resource and technical expertise.

5%) Performs other duties as assigned.
